The Product Development Division provides
contract product development and development services. With a wide range of
in-house product development and manufacturing expertise,
CIE's
product-oriented services range from complete turn-key product design and
manufacturing to reverse engineering and simple module assembly and
testing.
The CIE
staff have the skills necessary to carry a new
product fully through all design phases: from the inception of a new product
idea, through engineering prototype building and testing and on to complete
working documentation allowing large-scale factory builds.
CIE can design a complete product per customer
specifications, or provide assistance to support any particular
phase of a product design cycle. Using computer-aided design techniques,
CIE engineers prepare plans and specifications for
devices. Prototype fabrication is conducted in house or at a subcontract
manufacturing facility. Thorough testing is conducted at
CIE laboratories.
Manufacturing specifications and quality control standards are prepared if
large-scale manufacturing is anticipated. CIE
has a proven record of product design.
